Our Mission:
To glorify God in response to His grace by making disciples of Jesus Christ.
We will be having our monthly community lunch and dinner this sunday. Please do stay around after the service for food and fellowship.
Also, our SMACAGOW camp registration is now open... do sign up as soon as possible
;) There are more photos of the hotel, rooms and facilities on our FACEBOOK page (Friends of SMACC)
SMAGOW this year is on the topic of Guidance. It would be great if all SMACCers came for this our annual camp - it's from May 1st-3rd, the speaker is Paul Harrington from
Holy Trinity Adelaide and it's to be held at the Grand Kampar Hotel.
The 2 best books on Guidance I have found are:
1. Decision Making and the will of God (Gary Friesen & J. Robin Maxen)
2. Guidance and the Voice of God (Philip Jensen & Tony Payne).
They are strongly recommended reading! A summary of Friesen & Maxen can be found
here and a review of Jensen & Payne can be found
here. Reading these books or at least the summaries beforehand may raise questions and issues for you to bring for discussion at the camp.
Hope to see you in Kampar!
Andrew C.
Here is another ministry you can get involved in! :) We visit Cheshire Home, in Selayang on the first Saturday of every month for about 2 hours. The usual schedule is leave church at 4.30pm, arrive home and usher residents into a meeting room, sing hymns, short sermon, communion and prayer.Transport can be arranged from church and it wil be best to let Andrew know if you will be going at least the day before so he can arrange logistics and transport.
Every Thursday, we bring the Gospel Message to Shal Home, a home for the mentally handicapped. The home is located off Jalan Gasing, PJ and in the 2 hours that we have with them, we share a teaching from the bible, perform a short play, sing songs and play (simple!) games.
Do join us on thursdays from 10am to 12 noon if you are free. No previous acting skills necessary! :)
