Review of the Fellows Workers Conference 2009

The Fellow Workers Conference, the inaugural conference organised by the Gospel Growth Fellowship (www.gospelgrowth.com.my) was held on the 1-3rd of January 2009 focussing on the role of the Gospel in the church. A group of SMACCers attended this event:

"At FWC09 we were reminded about what sort of priority the gospel should have in our lives - this year in particular the priority it has over the church. We took a look at how things like tradition, experience, intellect and social action have crept in and threatened (even replaced!) the gospel we preach in our churches today. We were challenged to think about how far we would go to ensure the gospel remains central in our churches.

Attending FWC09 was indeed a great way to celebrate the gospel and to help set the tone for the year. In light of it, it will also be interesting to see what FWC10: The Gospel & Interpretation will show us. Hope to see you there."

... SMACC 2 will be having a reboot meeting at Andrew and Judi's residence on Saturday, 10th January @ 5pm. For those who require directions, a group will be meeting at the cathedral at 4.30pm and we will drive there together; for those who need a ride from their home, email me at smacc.info@gmail.com. SMAGOW this year will be on the 1st -3rd of May. Save the dates on your calendars. This year we have the privilege of hearing from Rev. Paul Harrington, the Rector of Holy Trinity, Adelaide. It'll be held in Kampar..so a great chance to stock up on the famous chicken biscuits :)
